Miru Kim is 30 years old New York Korean artist, originally from Columbia University as a pre-med student who eventually graduated from Pratt Institute with an MFA in painting, not a doctor. Unlike the rest of us who chose a liberal arts degree, not the ranks of the working population, Miru Kim has really found a lot of success in their chosen field.
Sure, they could make more money as a doctor, but then would never have graced the world of art, with its nudity. The photographs in his series Naked City Spleen is not pornographic, but it's the story behind these photos, her naked body that makes it more interesting.

FILL My Solitude
In the last decade, New York City has grown, my favorite city. Manhattan Island alone has a network of solid, mysterious man-made structure rising five hundred feet above the ground and the trench 800 meters. Five boroughs in New York by more than 35 bridges and tunnels connecting the city to make a remarkable achievement of engineering, architecture and design. The city has a complex anatomy and the soul as it is every human being.
Experience feelings of isolation and fear in the city - the city is increasingly controlled and commercialized - I started like many artists and writers suffering from severe depression, isolation and inertia understand that these terms embody the spleen. One way to escape my feelings like that, it's a bleak and hidden places in town to visit. Every time I come out of the room above the common ground that is filled with anonymous crowds, I feel regenerated and control.

Exploring ruins and industrial structure make me see the city as a living organism. I began not only the skin feel of the city, but also the inner lining of the intestines and blood vessels, small life forms abound. Penetrate the spaces left by subway stations, tunnels, sewers, catacombs, factories, shipyards and hospitals form the subconscious hometowns collective memories and dreams.
I have always been fascinated by the creatures of the reconquest of the ruins of the city, which is more than just mice: wild dogs, cats, birds and bees nest in the barrel of sugar in sugar factories abandoned. Imagine an imaginary creature that can live in the rooms, I started to fill itself. I was a child interacting with animals or the environment. Since I currently live on the site was abandoned, was strangely familiar to appease the hard, dangerous ludic.zorn
